Who we are

Cooler Crops began as a middle school engineering project in 2025. The Cool Greenery Girls participated in the NexTech Hawai’i Fishtank design competition in April, and in December, Luka successfully secured a donation to launch the idea into reality.

Now with the help of community volunteers, Cooler Crops has a goal to put over 100 gardens into our island community to address food insecurity, promote healthy eating habits, and recycle waste refrigerators.
